Kucing ini dimiliki oleh Kyra Foster, seorang warga Amerika, dan memenangi pertandingan kucing terbesar di daerahnya. "Ia adalah kucing mega raksasa." ungkap Lesley Morgan Blythe, juri pertandingan tersebut dikutip dari merdeka.com. "Ia merupakan jenis Maine Coon terbesar yang pernah saya lihat. Kemungkinan hanya ada dua yang boleh seperti ini." Rekod kucing terbesar di dunia sebelumnya dipegang oleh Meow, seekor kucing asal New Mexico, Amerika Syarikat yang mempunyai berat 18 kg atau sebanyak 4 kali saiz tubuh kucing normal. Namun kucing ini dikhabarkan mati pada bulan Mei lalu diusia 2 tahun di penangkaran haiwan, Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society. Kucing tebesar di dunia ini mati akibat obesiti yang dideritanya yang mnyebabkan gangguan pernafasan yang menjadi sebab utama kematiannya. -
Bernama Hercules tentulah yang menajdi yang terbesar dengan berat badan mencapai setengah Ton dan tinggi saat berdiri mencapai 3 meter. Hercules tercatat sebagai pemegang rekod kucing terbesar di dunia oleh Guiness World Record sejak 2007 lalu, dan sampai saat ini belum ada lagi kucing yang boleh menyelesaikan rekod tersebut -
Meow sempat sempat tampil di acara Today di BBC, dan "Anderson Cooper 360" di CNBC dan berjaya mencuri perhatian para pecinta kucing di Amerika. Sebelum Meow menyandang gelar kucing terbesar di dunia, sebelumnya sudah pernah tercatat seekor kucing yang sampai saat ini masih menjadi kucing terbesar di dunia dan belum diselesaikan
Kucing tersebut bernama Himmy dari Australia yang mempunyai berat mencapai 21.3 kg. Namun jika yang dimaksudkan kucing dalam kategori ini adalah seluruh keluarga kucing, maka yang terbesar tentulah Singa atau Harimau. Dan sebagai penyandang perseorangan dari rekod kucing terbesar di dunia saat ini yang tercatat oleh Guiness World Record adalah seekor Liger (persilangan Lion "Singa" dengan Tiger "Harimau").
